Bucherer Montres SA to take over Techniques Horlogeres Appliquees SA

On July 1, 2007, Bucherer Montres SA producer of Carl F. Bucherer watches, will take over Techniques Horlogeres Appliquees (THA) SA - thus continuing with its expansion strategy. After entering the Japanese market in early 2007, with the opening of a wholly-owned subsidiary, Carl F. Bucherer is stengthening its position on the high-end watchmaking market with this acquisition.

In June the A. Lange & Sohne RICHARD LANGE model was awarded "Watch of the Year" by Horloges magazine in the Netherlands. At a gala in Amsterdam, Tony de Haas, Lange's Director of Product Development, accepted the first prize in the category "Watches up to 35.000,- Euro".

Montblanc in Haute Horlogerie

Early in 2007, Montblanc acquired the Richemont group of Minerva, a watchmaking manufacturer at Villeret founded in 1858. With a view to establishing its position in Haute Horlogerie, the Institut Minerva for Research in Luxury Watchmaking has now been founded. This institute is totally devoted to Montblanc for the production of original patterns, strictly limited and purely handmade.
