REWRITTEN: Cummins has taken its proven Quantum electronic management system from larger engines such as the 4.5- and 6.7-liter QSB and incorporated these benefits into the compact QSB3.3. So you get important features such as auto-derate engine protection, rapid diagnostics and data download capability (particularly useful for rental companies). While power has increased by almost 30%, from 85 to 110 hp (63 to 82 kW), and peak torque by over 40%, from 215 to 304 lb-ft (291 to 412 N•m), the QSB3.3 maintains the same fuel consumption as the B3.3.
