Rachel Weisz Takes “Agora” to Madrid

Tending to her promotional duties, Rachel Weisz ventured out for the Spanish premiere of “Agora” in Madrid on Tuesday (October 6).

Joined by Alejandro Amenabar, Miss Weisz looked stunning in Marc Jacobs as she greeted fans waiting at the Biblioteca Nacional.

Aside from “Agora,” Rachel recently revealed her desire to play a lesbian character while chatting with Vanity Fair.

After being named one of the most desirable actresses among lesbians, the 39-year-old said of the honor, “It’s fantastic, don’t you think? I love being a lesbian icon!”

When I heard that Marc had produced a Doodle Print Tote for his Marc by Marc Jacobs line, two words immediately popped into my head: Dooney & Bourke. We all remember the Dooney & Bourke Doodle Print Collection, with its bright colors and childish-looking drawings. But when I finally saw the Marc by Marc Jacobs Doodle Print Tote in real life, I wasn’t as shocked as I thought I would be. Yes, the doodles are whimsical and childlike. However, I think what saves this tote from complete fashion disaster is that the doodles were done in simple black and white instead of every color of the rainbow. The little birds, rainbows, and bees are actually pretty cute. And the little worm is adorable! The doodles remind me of my textbooks from when I was in grade school. The teacher would have all the students bring a paper bag from home to make into a book cover. And, of course, mine would always be covered with lots and lots of drawings. I think this tote would be cute as a gym bag or even as a casual shopping tote. It is definitely something that the young and young-at-heart can both enjoy.

Inside “The Hills’” Star Stephanie Pratt’s Designer Miu Miu Handbag

The Hills star Stephanie Pratt, the younger sister of Spencer, has become one of Hollywood’s most popular style icons. But have you ever wondered what’s inside her lustworthy accessories? Us Magazine recently lifted the lid, asking Stephanie what five items she always keeps inside her favourite Miu Miu studded leather purse.

Stephanie’s love of designer labels is as evident inside her purse as it is out. She carries a Balenciaga wallet, which is always stuffed full of cards and cash. Then there are the Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses for beating the Los Angeles glare. Then there are dozens of lip glosses and miniature scents from Jacobs and Stella McCartney because “you never know what boy you’re going to meet” and you “have to smell good.” I guess it pays to be prepared! Stephanie’s final must-have item is her Blackberry for Tweeting on the go.

Marc Jacobs is known for dipping into yesteryear to find inspiration, but he always seems to make it look current.

This Cat bag has a distinctly throwback 1970s quality to it, but also resonates with the current craft-style fashion movement. The deep brown leather and patchwork-style cat applique are both crafty and cute, but not so precious that you couldn’t carry the bag and still feel like a grown up.

I love the shape of the bag. It reminds me of my childhood, and it always fits so nicely under the arm and against the body. I love the muted rich color palette; it’s perfect for fall, and a little bit refreshing in this season’s obsession with blacks and grays.

The price, at $450, isn’t bad, either. This is definitely worthwhile if you have a dedicated vintage sensibility.

Sexy Ghibli Red Patent Purse | Kitsch Clutch with Cute Front Bow

Ghibli brings its luxury leather styling to an altogether cuter plane, with this kitsch and sexy purse.

Much simpler than the designer’s normal python leather bags, this little patent evening bag is a great party purse with a funky 50s vibe. That said, the over-sized red patent bow also has something of an 80s feeling, meaning that this is both on trend and kitsch in equal measure.

The cute and simple styling does actually conceal a surprisingly spacious handbag. They have built in a subtle pocket on the reverse and a large central pouch, all in the same ruby red shade. The slight slouch of this girlie purse really does work in its favor in terms of space!

Unfortunately whilst Ghibli did think of functionality with this patent clutch, they didn’t necessarily think very hard. After all, there is no handle, optional or not, for you to use if you don’t feel like clutching in all night. This is a shame, as this cute handbag could have happily taken you from dinner right through to the next morning.
