"The Bachelor" Jake Pavelka neglected to give away two roses on Monday night's show -- and as a result sent home four women! During the episode in which Jake and the remaining nine bachelorettes hit the road for a romantic road trip up the coast, the airline pilot decided that it just wasn't working with four ladies. First up in the episode, Jake cuddled and snuggled with Gia on their one-on-one date at a California vineyard. The pair smooched during a game of spin the bottle, and at the end of the night, Jake gave the swimsuit model a rose. During a group date that started with beach dune buggy rides and ended at the famed Madonna Inn, Vienna once again ruffled the feathers of the other ladies, this time by insisting she be the last girl that Jake hung out with that night. During their one-on-one time, she explained to Jake that she wanted to be the last girl he kissed before he went to sleep. He, however, gave her a few words of caution regarding her relationship with the other girls, saying, "I think you egg [them on] and bring it on yourself." He also noted to her, "You're a little bit different with me right now than you are with all of the other girls around." Alone later, Jake confessed to the camera, "I've been pumping the brakes with Vienna a little bit ... I've seen a couple of red flags." At the end of the date, it was divorcee Tenley who received a rose. Next, Jake was faced with a shared date with Ella and Kathryn in which he would have to send one lady home. After a quiet dinner at his cabin, he shocked both ladies by giving neither a rose! He told a surprised Ella, "Ella, I think you're such an amazing person, I really, really do, and you are truly the complete package. And, I'm looking for the next 60 years and I just feel that I'm developing feelings that are just a little bit stronger for some of the other women." He then proceeded to tell Kathryn, "I want to be that guy [for you] but my heart is just telling me that I'm not that guy." After both girls departed, Jake told the camera, "I know in my heart that neither Kathryn nor Ella was right for me," and threw the rose into the fire dramatically. Finally, it was time for the rose ceremony. After handing a rose to Ali, and one to Corrie, Jake paused and requested a private meeting with host Chris Harrison. He asked Chris, "Do I have to give out two more roses?" Chris agreed to remove one of the two remaining roses, and Jake gave the final rose to Vienna, infuriating some of the girls. "If that's what he wants, than I am not what he wants," Ali whispered to one of the other girls. Meanwhile, a jilted Jessie shared her feelings, saying "Why Vienna? He shocked everyone in there. ... I think he'll regret it." Ashleigh, also sent home by Jake, told the camera, "If he can't see what kind of a person Vienna is over me, then I pity him. There's a reason why she doesn't have any friends in the house." The girls who are still in the running to win Jake's heart are: Ali, Corrie, Gia, Tenley and Vienna. "The Bachelor" airs Monday nights on ABC.
