Taking care of her Cannes Film Festival Jury duties, Nicole Kidman showed up at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France this morning (May 24).

Joined by fellow jurors Steven Spielberg and Christoph Waltz, the “Hemingway & Gellhorn” gal seemed to be in good spirits as she wrapped up a meeting.

In related news, Nicole was just named as the face of the forthcoming Jimmy Choo Winter 2013 ad campaign.

Creative director Sandra Choi told WWD, “Nicole is one of the finest actresses in the world. I knew (she) could convey the empowered glamour of the brand. She is also so nuanced and refined; she brings an attitude of defiance, strength, sensuality and elegance.”

The troubled “Hairspray” actress was made to remove her blonde wig before going in front of the camera, and her scowl is proof positive that it wasn’t her call.

Instead of lovely long locks, Bynes had a matted short hairdo as she was taken into custody and remanded at a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

Amanda had been arrested a few hours prior for throwing a bong out her high rise window when the doorman called the cops and reported she’d been smoking marijuana.

According to a report, the troubled actress was charged with second degree reckless endangerment, unlawful possession of marijuana, and attempted tampering with physical evidence.

Once the judge heard both sides of the case, he released Ms. Bynes on her own recognizance pending her next court date on July 9th.
