Pre-production on Saw VII has already begun … so despite the poor box office for Saw VI, the Saw series is far from over. Saw VII will look to revitalize the franchise, at least financially, with the series stepping into 3-D territory for the first time. Tobin Bell spoke to Fearnet about what it will be like to bring Jigsaw to the third dimension.
It will be an interesting experience. I’ll be doing the same thing. Possibly doing it differently, like saying, “Reach out this way!” But I am going to be doing exactly what I always do. I am more
concerned with the quality of the drama than I am in the special effects, I’ll leave that to someone else. That’s not my job. I’ll be
watching with interest and listening for good counsel from the 3-D techs, who I’m sure will be lingering around me. And I’ll be saying, get away from me!

The American Film Market is an annual meeting where the movie industry gathers together to sell or buy distribution rights and gain financing for upcoming projects. ScreenDaily reports that 2009’s AFM was a success for independent studios, particularly The Weinstein Company’s upcoming project Scream 4. Through the AFM, a teaser poster and synopsis were revealed.
The horror series that reignited the genre and gross[ed] more than $500 million worldwide is back! From Kevin Williamson, creator of the original Scream trilogy, the new film sees the return of cast members Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, along with a group of new stars, who can all hopefully stay alive long enough to figure out the new rules to this one-of-a-kind horror franchise!
The synopsis agrees with the Scream 4 details Williamson revealed to MTV.
The fourth one is an ensemble. It’ll take place right now, 10 years
later, and it’s going to take place in [Sidney Prescott's hometown of] Woodsboro. We’ll have our three main characters, and we’ll be
introducing several more.
Williamson says he is currently writing the script for 4, while planing a new Scream trilogy that will be well aware of its numeric place in its own franchise.
I guess I’ll just have to be very aware of the fact that we’re a 4 and that we’re beating a dead dog. I’m going to make that very apparent in the dialogue.
Come on! It’s the age of the remake! And 3-D and all that [other current horror fads], can you imagine what [Scream's movie-within-a-movie] Stab 10 is like?
Scream 4 currently has no director attached.

A photo pass is an elusive trickster these days, so I have no glorious pictures of their cute faces to share. BUT I MADE YOU ONE:

Alex’s hair was like this.
Observations:
-Cassadee Pope was cute and perfect as always, although my boyfriend (who knows things about music) says Hey Monday’s sound was muddled. I didn’t notice until Cassadee came out to sing Remembering Sunday with Alex and THEN she sounded clear as an angelic bell.
-Hey Monday played a little snippet of “Buddy Holly.”
-I was thinking during the set that Hey Monday should record a Christmas song. Or a cover. Which one do you think they’d be best fit to do? Random, I know.
-The lights during All Time Low’s set we’re pretty damn cool. And the drum set was on a platform so it was possible to actually SEE Rian play, even from the back-ish of the crowd. And they had this strobe-effect that really drew attention to the drumming at times. Band equality is so nice.
-Alex called Danny “a human version of Lassie” after he spilled a bottle of water on lots of important cords.
-I realized I don’t much like the song “Too Much”
-Jack didn’t talk enough, IMO.
-Some girl like 4 poeple in front of my kept on randomly holding up a pair of pink pants. I don’t know if they said something on them or what, but the pants completely blocked my view so I wasn’t that cool with it.
-After Alex played two acoustic songs, the band came back out and Jack said, “Give it up for my best friend Alex.” Aww. But boyfriend was like, OMG doesn’t that make the other guys feel bad? I said I think they have different best friends.
-Some girl in the audience was crying and Alex was like “Geez, do we look that bad?” but then it appeared she was being crushed so he got a security dude to help. I think something similar happened during Hey Monday’s set except it was a person crowd-surfing… who didn’t want to be crowdsurfing? Ha. I don’t know for sure, I couldn’t see.
-I wanted to tweet updates in so I could compile them for my review but I had no service in the HOB music hall! Boo!
-I went to the after party for like, 15 minutes, but after boyfriend ordered me a $12 dirty martini (it was GOOD at least) I spilled half of it on our legs. Sigh.

Imagine Twilight, but with Frankenstein in place of Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen, Taylor Swift starring in the Bella role and a mummy instead of Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black. Well, that’s what the folks at Saturday Night Live did this weekend — and the result is the digital short, “Firelight.”

Kristen Stewart gets her heart broken as Bella in “New Moon,” and the star said it’s an emotion she could relate to.
“I’ve absolutely thought I’ve been sure of something and then been told that I was just dead wrong so I can totally relate to that,” Kristen told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson of a past real-life break-up at the “New Moon” junket in Los Angeles on Friday.
